Exciting times for Computer Science in Abbey Community College. This week is Ireland’s first National Computer Science Week and our students have been enjoying a number of workshops with Mr Slight.
Introduction to MicroBits: Students coded the microcontrollers to give a visual warning to aircraft pilots that their altitude was too steep.
Introduction to Python: Students wrote a small programme where the users can interact with an imaginary Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Students used the Coding Editor in Minecraft to construct a number of real life models, such as a working farm, an aquarium (populated with exotic and tropical fish) and the Pyramids of Giza.
